12th Annual Sporting Clays Classic

Honoring 2010 Leadership Development Award Recipient 

The Istrouma Area Council, Boy Scouts of America held their 11th Annual Sporting ClaysClassic Leadership Award and Party & Auction on Tuesday, October 13th, 2009 at Phil and Laura Witter's Live Oak Arabian Stables in Baton Rouge, which kicked off the Sporting Clays Shoot at the Boy Scout' Camp Avondale in Clinton, LA on October 17th, 2009. Guest at the Leadership Award Party & Auction honored Roger Moser for his lifelong contributions to developing future leaders in our state.

The evening was a huge success. Fantastic BBQ was provided by T.J. Ribs, while the beverage were donated by the Baton Rouge Beer Agancy, Baton Roge Coca-Cola bottoling Company and Mockler Beverage-Budweiser.

The program was emceed by Whitney Vann of WBRZ Channel 2. The highlight of the night was the incredible live auctioneer Brian Fourroux of Brian's Furniture. There were a wide variety of items, all generoulsly donated by event sponsors.

The Council would like to recognize Lipsey's and Marchand Construction for sponsoring the event.

The Council would also like to thank the dedicated committee responsible for planning this event. The committee includes Scott Simoneaux, Sanford Roy, Craig Netterville, Adele Netterville, Wendy Shiroda, Flint Virgets, David Reynerson, Richard Lipsey, Dale Givens, Jim Mayer and Susan Leake.
